Where it actually fits
Sigenergy is a specialist. The recommender lifts it hardest on future ev integration, more than it lifts anything else for any reason, and that is the case for buying it. If that is not what you are solving for, the premium is buying you something you will not use.
It sits in the premium tier, and premium has to earn its money. A dearer pack stores roughly the same energy and displaces power at the same retail rate, so it does not save more. What it buys is build quality, warranty length, support and features, which are real and are not savings. Anyone selling the premium on payback is selling it wrong.
No particular existing inverter points at Sigenergy, so on a retrofit it competes on its own merits rather than on compatibility. On a new install that matters less, because the inverter is being chosen at the same time.
